DNA Markers

Plasmid DNA Markers

All OZ Biosciences markers are produced from certified high quality plasmid DNA employing nuclease-poor host bacteria. In addition the DNA fragments are further purified by de-proteination and desalting before being aliquoted and lyophilized. Their concentration is adjusted, so each vial contains 50µg of DNA.

100bp DNA ladder (100 - 1000 bp)

Fragments: 1000 – 900 – 800 – 700 – 600 – 500 (2x) – 400 – 300 – 200 – 150 – 100 bp
Recommended for: Analysis of mid-sized DNA fragments from restriction analysis and plasmid vectors in the average size range
Features: 10 fragments with increments of 100bp with an additional 150bp fragment for the analysis of 100-200bp PCR-products. Two times concentrated 500bp-band for easy detection. Others bands are equimolar concentration (1:1 ratio). Needs 70-80mm distance in 1.2% - 1.5% agarose gels for complete separation of bands

Cat. Number: PF00100

100bp DNA ladder PLUS (100 - 5000 bp)

Fragments: 5000 – 4000 – 3000 – 2500 – 2000 – 1500 – 1000 – 900 – 800 – 700 – 600 – 500 (2x) – 400 – 300 – 200 – 150 – 100 bp
Recommended for: Analysis of mid- and large-sized DNA fragments from restriction analysis and plasmid vectors in the average size range
Features: In addition to the above mentioned 100bp-DNA ladder (60%), 40% of the total DNA-mass is an equimolar mixture of 6 high-molecular DNA fragments ranging from 1500 to 5000bp. On 1.0% - 1.5% agarose gels, the extended ladder looks like two separated, set-on-top DNA ladders.

Cat. Number: PF00200

Recommended for: Analysis of larger DNA fragments and PCR-products.
Features: 11 fragments with increments of 2000, 1000 or 500bp. All bands are in equimolar concentration. Needs 70-800mm distance in 1.0% - 1.2% agarose gels for complete separation of bands.
