Magnetofection™ is a simple and highly efficient method to transfect
cells in vitro and in vivo. The principle is to associate vectors with
specific cationic magnetic nanoparticles. The resulting complexes are
then concentrated and transported into cells supported by an
appropriate magnetic field.
OZ Biosciences proposes four types of fluorescent magnetic nanoparticles. These FluoMag reagents are tetramethylrhodamine-conjugated magnetic nanoparticles. They can be useful for many applications:
- Double labeling and co-localization studies using GFP or FITC labeled nucleic acids
- Transfection mechanisms follow (interaction with cells, intracellular pathway ...),
- Fluorescent resonance energy transfer (FRET) assay
- Analyze the association of vectors with the magnetic nanoparticles…
Easy cell labeling and tracking
Non toxic
Serum compatible
Equivalent applications to their unlabeled counterparts :
- FluoMag-P corresponding to PolyMag
- FluoMag-C corresponding to CombiMag
- FluoMag-S corresponding to SilenceMag
- FluoMag-V corresponding to ViroMag
Cells labeling with FluoMag
The fluorescent labeled reagents are as efficient as the unlabeled reagents.
